Who is Dr.Satbir Bedi, new Punjab School Education Board chairperson?

Chandigarh, 17 February 2023- Dr. Satbir Bedi has been appointed as the Chairperson of the Punjab School Education Board by the Punjab Government. 

Dr. Bedi is a retired IAS, cadre AGMUT 1986, and has also been Chairperson National Council for Teacher Education New Delhi.

Over three decades of experience (1986-2021) Dr.Bedi held various leadership positions in fields such as overall State Administration, Human Resource Development, Social Welfare Administration, Labour and Employment, Community Development, Agriculture, Training & Research, Election Management, Teacher Training, Education Administration, Health Administration, and Women Empowerment. 

A master trainer with Ph.D. in Psychology, she also trained at the United Nations Development Program and the Dept. of Personnel & Training (Govt. of India), to plan and design training programs and modules for a wide variety of roles and institutions.

She also has wide-ranging international experience, having worked with institutions such as the UNDP, the World Bank, Department for International Development (DFID), International Labour Organization (ILO), the Afghanistan Government, and so on. Dr.Bedi is currently a Fellow at the University of Cambridge.
